• Auctions are cataloged and all items are sold in lot order.
  • A limited number of seats may be reserved prior to each auction. However, at the start of the auction all reservation tags will be removed and any vacant seats are available to anyone.
  • Be sure to listen for any special conditions that may be announced for a catalog entry. "Sold each" means your bid is for just one item in a group, but you are buying all items in the group. For example, you may bid $100 for "4 Chairs - Sold Each," meaning you must take all 4 and the total price is $400 (4 x $100.) "Choice" means your bid is for one item in a group and you may choose which items you want. For example, you may bid $200 for "3 Tables - Choice," meaning you can take your choice of 1 for $200, 2 for $400 (2 x $200) or all 3 for $600 (3 x $200.) Then any of the tables you didn't choose will be offered to any one else for $200 each. Finally if any still remain, they are auctioned again.
  • We decide the opening price for each lot (items are grouped so that no lot will have an opening price less than $5.) Like most major auction houses, we use standard bidding increments. The increment by which the bids are raised is based on the opening bid, as follows:
          Opening Bid       Increment
          $5 - $45       $5
          $50 - $90       $10
          $100 - $175       $25
          $200 - $350       $50
          $400 - $900       $100
          $1000 & up       $250
  • Since we accept absentee bids, a member of our staff may be openly bidding with those in attendance.
  • We make an honest attempt to accurately identify all merchandise and note any defects that may exist. However, unless explicitly announced, no warranty is made regarding any item's authenticity or condition. All statements made from the podium take precedence over anything in our catalogs, advertisements or web pages.
